The Data Sciences Institute (DSI) is preparing for the 2024 Summer Undergraduate Data Science (SUDS) Opportunities Program.
Faculty members and principal investigators who meet the eligibility criteria (below) and may have one or more positions available for a summer student should complete and submit the online application by November 15, 2023.
The list of SUDS opportunity descriptions will be posted on the DSI website on December 7, 2023, for student applications.
SUDS Summer research opportunities are available for up to 25 students.
Applications are submitted via the DSI Good Grants application portal.

Applications will be assessed by using the criteria outlined below:
$7,200 will be provided by the Data Sciences Institute to the supervisor for the student. Any supplement above this level may be set at the supervisor’s or department’s discretion.
12 full weeks in the summer term, between May 1, 2024, and August 15, 2024. Start dates and end dates are agreed upon for each student and supervisor.
