The DSI has allocated funds to support participants who are unable to cover the fees of the certificate program. During the application process, you will have the opportunity to indicate your need for financial assistance, and awarded candidates will receive $350 CAD towards their certificate.
Accessibility Fund awards will be evaluated based on need, determined during the application process.
Canada Training Credit
The Canada Training Credit (CTC) is a refundable tax credit available to help working Canadians with the cost of eligible training fees. You can claim the Canada training credit when you complete your income tax and benefit return.
Eligible learners can receive up to 50% of the eligible tuition and other fees paid to an eligible educational institution for courses taken in the year.
Highlights of the benefit include:
Targets Canadian workers aged 25-64 years of age.
Annual income range of $10,000 to $150,000.
Eligible training fees at colleges, universities and eligible institutions proving occupational skills training starting in 2020. Note that the University of Toronto is accredited as a designated learning institution (DLI) and the DSI Data Science Courses are eligible for the benefit.
