The DSI partners with foundations that want to engage and support world-class researchers, to accelerate the impact of data sciences across disciplines and address pressing societal questions.
The DSI appreciates the support of our research institute funding partners. While any researcher at an institution affiliated with U of T can join the DSI network and its events, DSI Membership and the ability to access DSI funding and support programs, such as catalyst grants and support for trainee salaries, require that a researcher’s primary institution be a funding partner that provides funding to the DSI.
The University of Toronto launched the DSI as an Institutional Strategic Initiative (ISI). It is funded with contributions from the University and its academic divisions and units.
